Senior Manager - Digital Marketing & Strategy
Job Description
Based in Minnetonka, Minnesota and on site across Morrie’s growing footprint, this senior leadership role steers the group’s digital marketing and strategy for 33 Upper Midwest dealerships. You’ll architect and own Morrie’s digital presence, guide agency and vendor performance, optimize the eCommerce lead funnel, and deliver data-driven insights to the executive team. The role is positioned to shape how the brand engages shoppers online while driving measurable growth, with a salary in the USD 90,000 to 105,000 range.
Responsibilities
- Agency & Vendor Command: Serve as the primary contact for SEM, SEO, and specialized digital agencies. You will define strategy, establish KPIs, and hold partners accountable for every dollar spent.
- Third-Party Lead Strategy: Own relationships and ROI with providers such as Cars.com, Autotrader, CarGurus, and TrueCar. Determine mix, allocate spend, and craft strategies to maximize lead conversion.
- Enterprise Digital Presence: Oversee the digital health of 33 rooftops, drive Google Business Profile dominance, implement local SEO/AIO (AI Optimization) strategies, and maintain brand consistency across the group.
- E-Commerce Lead Funnel: Lead the strategy for digital retailing tools and lead providers, ensuring the handoff from digital leads to showroom appointments is seamless and high-converting.
- Leadership & Team Growth: Directly manage the Website Operations Manager to keep 33+ sites high-performing, OEM-compliant, and optimized for the modern shopper.
- Reporting & Intelligence: Consolidate data into executive-ready digital reporting for the VP of Marketing and leadership, turning clicks and impressions from GA4, Vistadash, SEMRush, and agency analyses into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a substantial portion in the automotive industry.
- Budgets: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets across SEM, video, and third-party marketplaces.
- Analytics & SEO/SEM: Expert understanding of GA4, Google Business Profile, and the current SEM/SEO/AIO landscape.
- Leadership: Experience in a leadership or management role, direct reports preferred.
- Platform familiarity: Deep familiarity with automotive website platforms (Team Velocity, DealerInspire, Dealer.com, DealerOn, etc.) and digital retailing tools.
