FOOT LEVELERS INC is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to lead strategic event planning, brand representation, and revenue-driven initiatives in Roanoke, Virginia. This onsite role carries P&L oversight and directs a team to execute high-impact events that attract customers and support growth.

Responsibilities
- Identify speaking opportunities at a range of events and conferences.
- Evaluate which events to attend based on frequency, size, existing agreements, and expected attendance.
- Oversee exclusivity agreements to maximize value while ensuring compliance.
- Negotiate incremental value around renewals to improve outcomes.
- Manage event logistics, including booth materials, electrical needs, internet access, and furniture.
- Coordinate orders and logistics for large-scale exhibitions.
- Supervise travel arrangements for seminars as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with expo companies to efficiently handle materials handling.
- Maintain regular communication with state associations to strengthen relationships and ensure consistent brand representation.
- Ensure state obligations under agreements are fulfilled, managing related paperwork and providing support.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to promote brand presence and leverage sponsorship benefits.
- Negotiate sponsorships and plan strategic participation.
- Leverage events to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth through targeted participation.
- Align event strategies with marketing and sales objectives and measure their impact on revenue.
- Analyze event performance and adjust strategies to optimize results.
- Oversee budget and P&L for the events department, allocating resources and assessing ROI.
- Utilize data analytics to identify optimization opportunities and refine tactics.
- Lead and develop a high-performing events team, set goals, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members while managing workloads.
- Encourage creativity and accountability while focusing on delivering measurable results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in event coordination or related roles.
- Proven expertise in strategic event planning and logistics management.
- Strong vendor coordination experience and prior P&L responsibility and expense management.
- At least five years of increasing responsibility.
- Ability to think strategically and develop event plans aligned with business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Track record of implementing effective event strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and flawless execution.
- Financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Experience with annual budgeting for the seminar department, negotiating contracts with vendors, and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with state associations, colleges, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
