Job Description

Based in Chicago, Mabbly is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead an AI-forward advertising practice. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, guiding paid and organic initiatives for multiple client portfolios while coaching a cross-functional team and driving innovation through AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead digital strategist for four client accounts, designing channel plans across SEO, geographic targeting, paid media, and content to advance MQLs, SQLs, and revenue goals.
  • Lead client-facing presentations, performance reviews, and roadmap updates, translating campaign metrics into actionable business insights.
  • Articulate Mabbly's AI-forward perspective to clients, including how AI-powered search tools influence organic visibility and strategy.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product, and Strategy teams to ensure messaging, creative, and web initiatives stay aligned.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of Paid Lead and Organic Lead campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery, high quality, and KPI alignment.
  • Remain hands-on by building and managing campaigns directly in Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn when needed; this role requires practical, non-delegate-only work.
  • Support teammates with campaign planning, QA/QC, and troubleshooting in-person and remotely.
  • Manage freelance resources for specialized needs such as technical SEO or CRO.
  • Coach team members, fostering growth in digital best practices, AI tool adoption, client communication, and analytical thinking.
  • Use Claude, Claude Cowork, and other AI tools daily to accelerate research, strategy development, reporting, and campaign analysis.
  • Help build, train, and improve Mabbly's internal AI agents, including automated account health monitoring and weekly performance summaries.
  • Identify workflows ripe for automation and implement AI-driven solutions to free the team for higher-value work.
  • Establish and maintain QAQC processes for dashboards, reporting, and client deliverables.
  • Conduct pulse checks between reporting cycles and proactively recommend optimizations.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years in digital marketing with hands-on expertise across SEO, paid media, and analytics.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams and client relationships, ideally in an agency setting.
  • Proven ability to present strategy and performance to executives and C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect campaign data to pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency: actively use LLM-based tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in daily workflows with tangible efficiency or quality gains; experience with Claude Cowork, Claude Code, MCPs, or building AI agents/automations is a strong plus.
  • Genuine curiosity about where AI is taking the agency model and a drive to experiment, test, and adopt new approaches.
