Job Description

On-site in Appling, Georgia, the Marketing Specialist supports Turner Construction Company's project teams on a site near Augusta by steering proposal development. Working closely with the business development group, this role coordinates inputs and directs the production of the final master proposal to secure opportunities for the project.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, schedule and manage the proposal preparation process, identifying required details and staffing needs.
  • Coordinate presentation rehearsals and actively support facilitators and coaches.
  • Set up and maintain the electronic file structure, access, and backup procedures for all proposal materials on the team server and firm intranet, including SharePoint and CRM.
  • Produce custom copy for proposals and presentations, including writing and editing text, layout design, custom graphics, resume tailoring, and schedule integration, with minimal oversight from the marketing manager or sales lead.
  • Create a plan for final production cycles and required resources.
  • Coordinate and maintain the internal flow and review of all proposal inputs and outputs.
  • Oversee day-to-day vendor operations.
  • Collaborate with the Community Affairs Manager and Marketing Manager to set up, promote, and execute pursuit-specific outreach programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of government contracts, FAR and GSA guidelines.
  • Prepare project award submittals and identify award opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with marketing counterparts of clients, prospects, architects and engineers.
  • Monitor media sources for information relevant to specific pursuits.
  • Participate in local media events, civic and professional group meetings, client industry trade associations and community activities to enhance the company's image.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year degree in marketing or related field plus 4 years of marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer and IT skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work with little supervision, show initiative, and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Displays actions that support profitability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiar with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and graphic design.
