Senior Marketing and Events Specialist
Job Description
Based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, Pineapple Contracts is seeking a hands-on marketing and events leader to drive U.S. initiatives with strategic support from our UK team. This onsite role oversees trade shows, digital assets, and showroom activities, helping a global furniture brand designed for challenging environments to shine. Responsibilities
- Oversee the exhibitions calendar, book events, and coordinate logistics such as furniture and marketing materials; attendance at selected events is required.
- Support trade shows by designing visuals, organizing collateral, and planning stand layouts, including furniture selection.
- Own smaller sales events from concept through execution, including budgeting, logistics, materials, and liaison with organizers, with final HQ sign-off.
- Drive U.S. pop-up shop campaigns from concept to execution, including localized promotion, budgeting, logistics, and venue coordination.
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities at key events, including panels and workshops.
- Create high-quality visual assets for social media and the website using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Maintain and update the U.S. WordPress website, adding new products and content as needed.
- Plan and produce engaging written content for both print and digital channels.
- Develop case studies and coordinate photography for completed projects.
- Manage and localize social media content for the U.S. market.
- Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns.
- Support the Sales Team with bespoke presentations for client meetings, bids, and CEU presentations.
- Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors and external partners to support seamless execution in the U.S. market.
- Take ownership of the CET (Configura) platform, ensuring it is up to date, optimized, and effectively managed.
- Research and evaluate advertising opportunities across publications and events.
- Manage sourcing and stock control of marketing materials, including printed literature and branded merchandise.
- Oversee day-to-day management of showrooms in Michigan and California, ensuring strong presentation, accurate inventory, and product availability.
- Maintain U.S. product information, updates, and templates within internal systems (GoldVision, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Provide ad hoc support to the Sales Team as required.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support the business.
Requirements
- A degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven marketing experience, ideally in a senior role.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop (essential).
- Ability to take ownership and work independently while collaborating closely with the UK Head Office on campaigns.
- Capability to develop and implement marketing plans aligned with global priorities.
- Highly responsive, reliable and accountable with confidence to drive projects forward.
- Strong initiative, proactive and self-motivated, able to work without micromanagement.
- Solid understanding of the US market and customer landscape, with ability to track trends, competitors, and opportunities.
- WordPress experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience executing and optimizing SEO campaigns.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
- Analytical and results-oriented, able to measure campaign performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective stakeholder coordination across international teams.
