Responsibilities
- Create and execute an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain a cohesive brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all channels.
- Collaborate with leadership to back fundraising campaigns, events, donor communications, and mission storytelling.
- Direct the production of print and digital content that highlights family stories, donor impact, and program successes.
- Generate newsletters, impact reports, press releases, email campaigns, and other communications assets.
- Coordinate photography and videography while upholding privacy standards.
- Oversee website and social media strategy for channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Design and implement digital strategies to grow audiences and drive engagement.
- Track performance analytics and adjust approaches to maximize impact.
- Plan and run promotional campaigns for events and awareness initiatives.
- Assist the development team with branded materials, sponsorship decks, and event signage.
- Manage relationships with designers, vendors, and marketing contractors.
- Monitor marketing KPIs and support budget oversight to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Provide support on additional projects, administrative tasks, or communications-related duties as needed to advance RMHC Inland Northwest’s mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field is preferred but not required.
- 3–5+ years of marketing or communications experience, nonprofit background preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong graphic design skills.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress or similar CMS, email marketing platforms, and donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge preferred but not required.
- Highly organized, collaborative, and deadline-driven.
- Passion for RMHC’s mission with an ethical approach to storytelling.
- Experience with photography, video editing, or basic HTML preferred.

- Reports to: Executive Director
- Employment type: Full-time
- Location: Spokane, WA (onsite)
- Salary: USD 49,920 - 62,400 per year, DOE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Working conditions
- Occasional support with event setup, materials preparation, or facility-related communications needs may be required.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required for events, campaigns, meetings, or other mission-related needs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 25 pounds.
- Standing and/or sitting for extended periods.
- Ability to speak publicly and represent RMHC Inland Northwest professionally at events, meetings, and presentations.
