Job Description

Seamen’s Bank is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to lead its marketing and communications strategy from Provincetown, Massachusetts. This role brings together content creation, brand stewardship, and multi-channel execution to support revenue growth and deepen community ties along the Outer Cape.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the bank’s social media platforms, creating content and scheduling posts to maximize engagement and reach
  • Launch and refine email marketing campaigns that drive traffic to the bank’s website and key revenue areas
  • Maintain and optimize the bank’s website to ensure fresh, dynamic content
  • Serve as the organization’s primary content creator, managing daily digital marketing, print publications, and overall communications
  • Translate complex financial products and services into clear consumer messaging and shape raw material from staff and meetings into impactful copy
  • Write and collaborate on compelling, effective copy
  • Uphold consistent messaging and visual branding to enhance the bank’s image
  • Position Seamen’s Bank as a leading Cape institution and a dedicated community partner
  • Extend Seamen’s Bank presence west of the Orleans rotary beyond a traditional building anchor
  • Identify brand moments, including events, milestones, and notable news
  • Plan, execute, and analyze product and service marketing campaigns to maximize revenue and strengthen partnerships
  • Target potential customers locally and beyond, recommending strategies to capture market share
  • Build a multi-channel media list, ongoing pitch content, and a regular distribution schedule
  • Collaborate with internal experts to position the bank as an industry leader
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing metrics to optimize performance
  • Track trends and propose new approaches to adapt strategies
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource use and ROI
  • Resolve roadblocks and ensure key initiatives are executed on time
  • Assist with various other communications needs such as summaries, leadership updates, talking points, and announcements
  • Develop and maintain calendars and follow-up plans
  • Collaborate with third party vendors and internal teams on swag, printed materials, signage, promotional pieces, and other marketing deliverables
  • Maintain vendor relationships and pursue new partnerships to optimize results
  • Participate in networking events and community outreach opportunities
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing and communications, business administration, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or five or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years in a hands-on marketing, communications, or related role with exceptional creativity and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organizational and detail orientation
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-focused
  • Experience working with vendors, printers, promotional partners, or outside agencies
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital software

Compensation

Salary: USD 65,000 - 87,000 per year
