Job Description

Based in Calabasas, CA, this on-site role at Insomniac leads YouTube operations and growth strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive YouTube-centric campaigns. The position requires a seasoned digital leader with strong organizational and project management skills, deployed five days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute marketing campaigns in collaboration with Strategic Stakeholders, prioritizing YouTube as the main content and promotion channel while guiding cross-functional teams across digital advertising, social media, and related technology.
  • Own the YouTube marketing strategy alongside Strategic Stakeholders: create content calendars, schedule video releases, optimize videos, and utilize platform features (Shorts, Community tab, scheduling) to foster growth and engagement.
  • Coordinate with third party agencies for the operation, management, and execution of YouTube initiatives.
  • Collaborate with event marketing leads to weave YouTube-first campaigns into broader marketing programs.
  • Lead internal and external meetings, clearly articulating campaign objectives and YouTube-specific opportunities.
  • Analyze weekly performance data, including YouTube analytics, social engagement, and paid media; adapt marketing plans based on insights and communicate targets and metrics to partners.
  • Monitor platform trends, content formats, algorithm updates, and best practices to keep campaigns innovative and aligned with current digital behavior.
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize marketing workflows and YouTube content development.
  • Partner with in-house design and media teams to produce YouTube-optimized assets.
  • Hire and manage independent video editors, animators, and YouTube specialists as needed to support initiatives.
  • Lead on-site marketing efforts across media, social, and content capture, including livestream planning, real-time content, and post-event recaps.
  • Ensure timely and accurate approvals for all marketing and YouTube/media assets.
  • Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of team members, including those supporting video and YouTube operations.
  • Provide onboarding support for team members, clients, vendors, and partners as required.
  • Handle other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of marketing and or music experience with proven YouTube marketing, audience development, or content strategy expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of the YouTube platform, including Shorts, Live, and long-form formats, the algorithm, and the creator ecosystem.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for electronic music, artists, genres, culture, and Insomniac brands.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead strategy and present YouTube insights and campaign results.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, high-volume campaigns with a YouTube focus.
  • Solid copywriting ability to craft compelling YouTube titles, descriptions, and calls-to-action in brand voice.
  • Experience managing multiple timelines, adapting quickly, and collaborating across departments.
  • Bonus: familiarity with YouTube Studio, analytics dashboards, Photoshop, HTML, Google Analytics, or video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut.
  • Willingness to supervise off-hours publishing and monitoring when needed.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year. Hiring salary range documented as USD 75,000.00 - 85,000.00.

Work Environment

  • Willingness to travel or be present during holidays, evenings, and weekends as deadlines require.
  • Ability to endure loud noise levels and varying temperatures while working on-site at event locations.
  • Comfort working in an open concept office space.
