Job Description

The role is a full-time Pursuit/Proposal Manager on Dewberry's Federal Marketing team, remote with a preference for Fairfax, VA, and requires 10+ years of AEC marketing experience focused on federal or complex proposals.

Responsibilities

Own the full life cycle of proposal preparation for technical proposals, RFIs, sources sought notices, qualification packages, and oral presentations or interviews.
Collaborate with Client Managers, Project Managers, and subject matter experts to define pursuit actions, win strategies, craft sales messages, assemble pursuit teams, manage the proposal process, and develop proposal responses.
Manage multiple proposal efforts concurrently across diverse markets and service offerings.
Develop and maintain capture plans for a range of pursuits, including prime and sub-packages.
Maintain the capture plan document, catalog documents, track deadlines for individuals and teams, and facilitate meetings.
Lead proposal kick-offs and reviews, and steer portions of client management and other meetings as needed.
Coordinate pursuit teams across multiple office locations and service lines; familiarity with integrated, multi-service line proposals (civil, structural, architecture, MEP, technology, etc.) preferred.
Coordinate internal and external proposal data calls, including subcontractor outreach.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards for presentation graphics, proposals, resumes, and collateral materials.
Write supporting sales materials such as project descriptions, resumes, service line overviews, and executive summaries.
Support market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence for client management and operations teams.
Develop familiarity with the company’s project experience and its relevance to pursuits.
Mentor junior marketing coordinators and assistants to meet proposal demands.
Perform QA/QC on proposals and marketing materials.
Organize marketing materials for ease of use, maintain CRM records, and keep shared files accurate and up to date.
Support the development of internal and external marketing communications efforts.

Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent experience in A/E/C marketing required.
10+ years of hands-on SF330 proposal production and managing proposal efforts required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational abilities; self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines concurrently.
Extensive experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign and Acrobat; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
Knowledge of CRM systems, specifically Deltek Vision and/or Deltek Vantagepoint, is a plus.
Effective proposal coordination skills with attention to detail, planning, organization, problem solving, and resource management.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.
Ability to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements.
Remote position with occasional travel to Dewberry’s Fairfax, VA headquarters and regional offices required.
