Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Job Description
USD 50,000 per year, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of five years in related work.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute creative marketing strategies to promote the Lancaster Promise Neighborhood and meet publicity goals set by the Advisory Board.
- Identify target audiences and develop digital campaigns that engage, inform, and inspire action.
- Report directly to the Program Director and serve as a full-time team member within the project.
- Participate in the Promise Neighborhood steering committee to maintain ongoing communication and coordination.
- Apply graphic design skills for digital ads, print ads, posters, and publications as needed.
- Conduct photography and video work for events and programs, including editing and establishing an archival system for future use.
- Manage major social media platforms for Promise Neighborhood.
- Oversee platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn on a schedule approved by the Project Director with input from event and program organizers.
- Collect content daily for social media posting, including photos, video, and testimonials.
- Assist with donor management software data entry, monitoring, and fund development activities.
- Regularly communicate with marketing stakeholders to update on marketing activities and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with businesses and organizations in Lancaster County.
- Schedule and, when possible, participate in live media interviews promoting events and programs.
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases for Promise Neighborhood activities and events.
- Identify social media and website trends and optimize performance using data insights.
- Lead social media and other marketing workshops for staff and partner agencies.
- Stay current with online marketing trends and measurement best practices.
- Assist with web maintenance and design when required.
- Support event planning and day-of-event execution as needed.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with graphic skills, marketing principles, interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in computer use and desktop publishing software.
- Photography and videography skills are required.
- Solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Corel or similar media editing tools.
- Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
- Excellent analytical and project management capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Experience with a variety of communication technologies including online formats and social media.
- Commitment to the goals and values of Lancaster Promise Neighborhood.
- Knowledge of the local community and comfort working in diverse neighborhood settings.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- A background check will be conducted.
- Driver’s license is required.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in communications, public or community relations, marketing or related field, or an equivalent five-year combination of experience and training.

Acceptable Experience and Training
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in communications, public or community relations, marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of at least five years of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Other Requisites
