Job Description

Bear Creek Senior Living, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Marketing & Admissions Coordinator to lead admissions and marketing for a large senior living community onsite. The role carries a split focus of roughly 70 percent on skilled nursing and 30 percent on assisted living, and requires collaboration with physicians, prospective residents, family members, and the broader community. This position offers a competitive base salary of $75,000 per year and requires at least one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Seek and/or receive inquiries and documents for potential residents to be admitted
  • Screen and evaluate each referral to determine whether the prospective resident meets criteria for transfer and admission
  • Coordinate all communications received from physicians
  • Document all admission and discharge activity
  • Responsible for marketing efforts in the community

Requirements

  • Current knowledge of state and regulatory requirements related to admissions, discharge and transfer
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment systems, including HMO, PPO, Indemnity, Worker’s Compensation, and insurance (Medicare and Medicaid, etc)
  • At least one year of experience in the health care field, preferably in long-term care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective written and oral communication abilities to engage health care professionals, potential residents, family members, and the community
