Job Description

The role of Director of Brand Marketing at Goods iQ blends strategic brand leadership with hands on storytelling to accelerate growth across digital and traditional channels. This hybrid position is based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and partners closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to align brand momentum with broader business goals.

Responsibilities

Shape and lead transformative marketing strategies spanning digital, content, social, email, and traditional channels.
Own and evolve each brand narrative with a distinct voice, emotional resonance, and long term equity.
Develop compelling positioning and messaging that resonates with target consumers at every touchpoint.
Define clear objectives, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with company growth goals.
Build, mentor, and inspire a high performing, inclusive marketing team.
C foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and ownership across the organization.
Set performance standards for the department and the business as a whole.
Oversee project management to ensure world class execution and on time delivery of initiatives.
Drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention across all channels.
Utilize data to measure performance, extract insights, and optimize campaigns in real time.
Own the marketing budget with resource allocation focused on measurable ROI.
Establish a test and learn approach to continuous campaign improvement.
Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations to maintain alignment with broader strategy.
Lead new product commercialization, channel expansion, and customer experience initiatives.
Monitor competitive activity, category shifts, and consumer trends and act proactively.

Requirements

8+ years of progressive brand marketing experience with consumer products, including digital and performance marketing.
2+ years in creative agency work or multi brand consumer products leadership.
Strong background in ecommerce, performance marketing, and marketing analytics.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and project management tools such as Asana or similar.
Experience with digital shelf software tools; Salsify and Salesforce CRM & Marketing Cloud are strong pluses.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; MBA is a strong plus.
Military experience is a strong plus, reflecting leadership and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with leadership to define and refine the brand voice across channels
Develop and manage a content strategy aligned with growth objectives
Translate organizational goals into social media and content initiatives
Plan and execute campaigns tied to key moments, events, and timed calls to action that drive engagement and growth
Own the editorial calendar and ensure consistency of tone, message, and identity across materials
Grow Bring Magic’s presence across core platforms
Plan and run campaigns focused on volunteer recruitment, events, and awareness
Manage day-to-day posting, engagement, and community interaction
Continuously improve performance through testing and iteration
Attend Bring Magic programs, trainings, and events to capture real moments and stories
Shoot and edit video and photo content for campaigns and ongoing content
Create compelling written, visual, and video content that reflects the mission and drives action
Build a repeatable system for capturing and producing high-quality content
Develop and oversee the process for sustained storytelling and content production
Track performance across content and campaigns and prepare reporting for leadership and the Board of Directors
Adjust strategy based on results and insights
Support digital advertising efforts including Google Ad vendor management and running targeted digital advertising to source volunteers
Work within an established in-house content production approach led by the founder and Senior Director of Marketing
Build on an existing foundation of digital marketing and content development to expand reach and engagement
Operate Sony cameras and professional audio equipment to capture high-quality content
Edit and produce content using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and supporting AI tools

Requirements

Proven track record of building and running content and marketing systems with demonstrable results
Energy, drive, and the courage to take a bold, proactive approach to momentum and aligning with a culture of continuous experimentation
Comfort with both strategic planning and hands-on execution
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
Interest in mission-driven work and growth-stage organizations
Portfolio demonstrating content creation, strategy, and results (required)
4+ years of experience in marketing, content, or social media
Experience shooting and editing video content (required)
Strong writing and storytelling ability across formats
Ability to translate real-world moments into compelling content
